We are the Town of Carmel Democratic Committee
We are a group of dedicated citizens in Mahopac and Carmel that believe important changes in government are needed in our small Town. We hold true to Margaret Mead’s wise words, to “never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has.”
If you are ready to change the one-party rule in our Town that stifles our voices and elect some new blood that will solve the problems of and improve life in Carmel, then join us.
Together we can thoughtfully, responsibly, and determinedly change the face of government for the better in this wonderful small Town we call home.
What Do
We Do?
Members of the Town of Carmel Democratic Committee
work to elect Democrats to all local offices.
Inform Voters
Canvassing, fundraising, petitioning, community events, choosing candidates, vote on resolutions.
Help Candidates
Every year, we will be there to petition, canvass, fundraise, phone bank, write letters and postcards, talk to our neighbors, hand out campaign literature.
Community Outreach
We work to educate our community about local issues, Get Out the Vote events, voter registration events, attend meetings.
Monitor Our Government
We keep an eye on our local government and hold them accountable.
